Education: I have a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in English with a concentration in Writing and a Minor in Theatre. I earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast Program. I’m in the process of completing a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Principalship. I’ve also completed graduate coursework at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland — looking at pedagogy and the history of teaching.
Work Experience(s): In other lives I have been a professional cow herder, spelunker, and fire breather.
Teaching Experience: This will be my second year teaching at WHS. I am also a Teaching Lecturer at Plymouth State University.
What I Teach: I’ve taught several courses at WHS including co-teaching Mentoring, and Senior English. This year i’ll be teaching English 9, English 10, English 10 Honors, and the newly-offered Advanced Placement course for Juniors: AP Language and Composition.
Extra, Extra!: This fall we will be building our first Granite State Challenge team after a hiatus. Students who are interested in trivia and competition are welcome to join. We’ll meet both during and after school to support various schedules.
