With the daily rise in Covid-19 cases, we will be making a proactive move for the health and safety of our students, families, and our communities. While we’ve only had one positive case in our schools, we have many teachers, staff and students quarantining at home with symptoms or exposure to positive cases.
In all SAU 23 schools, students will be in school next Monday and Tuesday, November 23 and 24th as we prepare for a remote week following the Thanksgiving break. We plan to return to school on Monday, December 7. This will give us time to, hopefully, improve conditions in our communities and to assess our local, county and state trends.
We will work with the Abbey Group and bus company on delivering a full week of student meals to those families who want it. Please email your school secretary if you would like to be on the list. The delivery schedule is being worked out and details will be sent out next week.
Your schools will be sending home the remote instruction schedule for the week of November 30-December 4.
Special Education Case Managers will contact families of a small group of students who will continue to receive services in school during the remote week.
Please reach out to your building principal and classroom teachers with any questions you may have.
